Tengku Adnan (ada orang cakap Tengku itu ditambah kemudian), jadi kita sebut sahaja Adnan, harus menjelaskan kenyataannya kepada orang ramai bahawa (kurang lebih): "penulis blog adalah penipu" dan "80% daripada mereka wanita tak bekerja".
Sin Chew Daily menyiarkan kenyataannya tetapi akhbar-akhbar lain -- walaupun saya difahamkan wartawan media lain turut hadir -- tidak menyiarkan kenyataan ini.
Elizabeth Wong dah mengulasnya, begitu juga Marina Mahathir dan Susan Loone. Rocky's Bru dua kali menulis tentang hal ini. Malaysia Today pula menerbitkan kembali berita yang ditulis di Harakahdaily.net -- yang sebetulnya diambil daripada Rocky's Bru.
Jeff Ooi dan rangkaian penulis blog yang bersekutu dengan penulis-penulis blog ini sudah menulis.
Barulah saya faham maksud SMS Eli kepada saya beberapa hari lalu.
Adnan, minggu ini elok Tuan Menteri jelaskan bagaimana 8,000 daripada 10,000 penulis blog adalah wanita (yang ramai tak bekerja) dan kerja mereka hanya menulis catatan-catatan menipu?
Adakah Adnan marah pada penulis blog tertentu** sehingga dia sanggup memukul borong semua penulis wanita blog itu penipu?
**Nota: Sebelum ini Wong Chun Wai, timbalan pemred*** The Star pernah menulis, mendedahkan catatan blog seorang wanita Indonesia (wartawan) yang kecewa kerana sulit mendapatkan kerjasama sewaktu mahu menulis/mempromosi Malaysia.
*** pemred (istilah Indonesia) yang bermaksud "pemimpin redaksi" atau ketua pengarang.

Atau, kita boleh susun semula kenyataan Adnan itu dan kita faham begini: Semua menteri adalah penipu! 80% menteri tidak buat kerja!

emm... aku rasa baris terakhir entri ini sangat berbahaya, menghasut ataupun menipu.
Kuasa memang selalu cuba mengongkong, sampai ruang 10101010101 pun diaorang nak kongkong.

Tengku Adnan: Bloggers are Liars, 80% are Unemployed Women

(Kuala Lumpur) The Tourism Minsiter Tunku Adnan lashed out today (Mar 8, 2007) that all bloggers on the Internet are liars, out of which 80% are unemployed women.
“All bloggers are liars, they cheat people using all kinds of methods. From my understanding, out of 10,000 unemployed bloggers, 8,000 are women.”
Tengku was addressing the media at the 2007 Malaysia GP Sales when he was asked about allegations made on a blog by a female TV presenter. The guests present were shocked at first, but burst into laughter.
He said he may lose some female voters but did not retract his statement or indicate that he was just joking.
He said that bloggers spread rumours, disrupt social harmony and many bloggers are slanderous and are cheating people with their blogs.
“All bloggers are not in favour of national unity. Our country has been successful because we are very tolerant with each other, if not, there will be civil war, the Malays will kill the Chinese, the Chinese will take revenge and kill the Malays, and the Indian will kill everyone.”
He urged the rakyat not to simply trust bloggers, and gamble our future away because the achievement we gain in the 50 years of independence is not an easy task.
“We have to show the world our positive attitude, if the world learn to be as tolerant as us, the world will be peaceful, without war or civil war.”
He said that the tourism ministry has been promoting the country for the rakyat’s benefit, not just to benefit his own ministry.
He stressed that the Malaysian tourism industry is now in a critical moment as the competition from the neighbouring countries such as Vietnam, Cambodia and the Philippines will be stiffer and Malaysia must respond proactively.

sebagai bekas pemred akhbar arus perdana, saya rasa heran mengapa adnan begitu sinis terhadap pemblog tempatan.
juga saya amat heran mengapa tiada sebarang ulasan dari pejabat bapak menteri tersebut, walaupun sudah begitu jelas kenyataan beliau dalam Sin Chew telah membuat ramai orang begitu marah.
adakah Sin Chew membuat kesilapan? adakah kenyataan Adnan dilaporkan dalam konteks yang berlainan?
saya harap pemred media lama dapat memberanikan diri dan bertanya pada Pak Menteri tersebut apa cerita sebenarnya hingga jadi macam ni?
